Welcome to the Elementary Art page.  This year as last, Elementary art will encompass the grades of PK3 through 5th grade.  We are in a new art room complete with tile floors, two double sinks, running water, and LOTS of space.  How exciting this is for the kids and for their exploration in the arts.  This year we have expanded our curriculum in that we will be studying one or two famous artists each month.  Students will be challenged to do works of art that will reflect the works of these artist yet be uniquely their own.  We start with Matisse and Klee and finish the year with Kandinsky.  It will prove to be fascinating and of course challenging.  Along with the art, I will also be looking to begin a monthly art newsletter as well.  This will focus on individual classes each month and reflect the artist and work they are creating.  As always, we will have monthly art displays culminating with the Spring art show, showcasing our wonderful elementary talent. 

Our goal at DCA is to define and develop young art talent and instill in each student the wonder of God’s creation through the hand of the Master Artist, God Himself.
